Hunger Doesn’t Wear Club Colours: An evening with fans supporting foodbanks
Thursday 18 November 2021 from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm GMT

What do you get when you cross football fans and a campaign to end food poverty? Sounds like a joke, but when Marcus Rashford successfully lobbied the government to U-turn on its decision to provide free school meals in the summer of 2020, football fans in their masses joined the faith groups on the front lines to end food poverty.
To celebrate Mitzvah Day 2021, René Cassin is hosting an evening of conversation between Fans Supporting Foodbanks, who have been educating sports fans on the roots of poverty since 2015 with their mobile pantry and outreach work, and other special guests from the Beautiful Game.
As winter draws on, energy prices rise and food remains expensive, we will be asking: what has football got to do with the fight for food justice?
With campaigner Dave Kelly & special guests.
